Number of Reviews: How many times have you waited for an expansion pack to come out to improve the few things that you find wrong with a game that you really enjoy, only to be disappointed? Well this time, things are different. I cannot say enough good things about the... more
Awesome, Addictive & FUN! All additions and changes to CivIII are useless until they do something about the 2 major shortcomings of the entire Civ series: the stupid movement system (moving each unit individually even when a whole stack wants to go to the same place); and the... more
The conquests are great fun
I think the conquests added to the game make it much better than the original. These are more than just extra scenarios. They have very different victory conditions and totally renamed and reworked civs to comply with the conquest conditions.... more
Buggy like you wouldn't believe This game was released way to soon. It is buggy and missing many graphics files. Even the very large patch cannot fix it. I wouldn't recommend this. It was a lot of fun but invariably something would go wrong. For example in one game It would add... more
Extremely addictive, and it makes CIV 3 complete Although I am a long time fan of Sid Meier's games, I was somewhat disappointed with Civ 3 when it came out. However, this expansion pack more than makes up for it. If you've got Civ 3 I highly recommended that you get this, as it adds many more civilizations,... more
Good, but kind of boring I'd say it was better than the original with new civilizations, units, wonders, conditions for victory, and city improvements. There are 15 new civilizations each with a special unit. The best thing in my opinion is now in this expansion you can customize... more
Don't get this expansion I played the game Civ 3 and the game works very well. I have not had any problems with the program crashing at all. I then buy this expansion pack and the first time I play the game with the expansion pack, the game crashes on me! I have tried loading... more
Conquer them all with Conquests This supplement goes a =long= way to addressing some of my complaints about the original Civilization III.Since Civilization I, this game has always been one of my favorite games to play on the computer, both against the computer and against others.... more
Number of Reviews: This game has got me back interested interested in the Civ series, after a long year of waiting, the make or break game in the series came out, and it made it. I first got interested in the series when I bought Civ 2. This game was awsome (the... more
Conquering Civ3 While maintaining the majority of the original Civilization 3 game, Civilization 3: Conquests adds new civilizations for you to chose from, new wonders to build, new improvements and terrain, and conquests and much more (250 additions by Atari/Firaxis'... more
If You Love CIVIII You MUST Have This Expansion The Conquests expansion for CIV3 combines all of the features of the unfairly maligned PtW expansion as well as a whole new set of wonders and features specific to this package. The look and feel of the game with the Conquests disk is about the same... more
wait 2 years for future titles to be sure of quality... Not to sound like a tight-wad, but I'm seriously disappointed in this franchise since CIV 3 came out. I have been an avid player of the CIV franchise since the first game, and bought the 3rd installment the day it shipped to stores for $60 in the overrated... more
How To Screw Up A Really Good Thing This is a GREAT expansion pack. Particularly if you skipped "Play The World" (as I did). There's more, more, MORE of everything, and enough interesting gameplay tweaks that it makes Civ 3 feel like a brand new game. What makes it so good? *... more
The Incas at Last! Greetings:I was pleased greatly with this expansion. It fianlly added some civs that had benn blatantly ignored despite their days of greatness. I am annoyed with this so-called bonus disk that never appeared. It must be totally mythical. It... more
My .02 My husband and I are stationed overseas and he was interested in purchasing Civ3 expansion. Of course our lovely BX does not carry it and doesn't know when or if it will have more later. I decided to purchase it from Amazon and was told it is only available... more
A trustworthy addition... When I originally reviewed the Civilization III game it was a lying, cheating, money-stealing demon, this expansion fixes all of that. The game has received some very substantial interface, mechanic, and aesthetic improvements in this newest expansion.... more
