havent tried it yet but...the rating is for FFXI All of us FFXI players know already, chains of promathia is huge. with over 100 new areas, it will definitely add some more color to the already beautiful Vanadiel. No more crowded leveling areas! Over 3 new areas specific for the leveling range for character at level 20, and 4 more for leveling at 25. Most areas are specific for questing or new nations. There will be one new nation similar to kazham and norg i know of, that will be also on a secluded island somewhere, and houses ancient cybornetic clans. No word on storyline yet though. Chains of promathia will hugely add to ffxi, with over a gig of additional data, and will make rank 13 + possible. there will be no level cap rise to the game, developers are still finding ways to raise the cap and not make redmage a godly sub job, (if the cap is raised even 5 levels, a level 80 character can obtain an ability known as Convert, which switches current HP with current MP, making whm,blm, and summoner the most elite in the game, heck, even bard really) also, there were mass rumors of added jobs, sadly, this is not true, although there was much talk about including Blue Mage as an advanced job, it did not come to chains of promathia, but rather, is planned as a patch in the distant future. Overall, i believe CoP will add great depth to the games already wonderful storyline, which is intruiging and sometimes very dark. Lots of new mobs will be added to the game of course, and even (rumor) the monsters already existing in different areas are getting a makeover, so you dont end up fighting the same looking crab or mandragora, beetle or scorpion, heck even crawler for 20 + levels. Most of the game, you fight the same looking beast >.< until you reach a high enough level to fight anticans (giant, bug like beasts with a bad temper and ancient magic) So, all you FFXI fans and addicts, await patiently for chains of promathia, because it will change the gaming experience so greatly. (YAY NO MORE CROWDED QUFIM AND YUHTUNGA/YHOATOR JUNGLE!) Happy gaming everyone. (Sorry for the rating on the game itself, i usually dont post reviews and ratings on things i do not play... but since this is not out yet and i have some nice information i thought i would. the game's rating is for FFXI and Rise of the Zilart expansion, since CoP will simply add on to it)
