All is not lost even if you have Windows XP I bought a whole new ($1,600) computer just to play this set of Myst games, but I found that Myst and Riven do not install under XP Pro. But I'd kept my old laptop and it had Windows ME, and Myst installed in 3 seconds! It's a 733mhz computer too! I'm very pleased with the speed of the transitions. So if you've hung on to your old computer, use that instead! Good luck!
