Number of Reviews: After playing at least 50 atmospheric games, URU is not only among the best, but IS the best, so far. The dimensions and story line is multiple layers deep, being URU takes the experience to a level of total participation, as if so close and personal with the histoy of Dn'i that the player is truly involved in a significant virtual reality. The wisdom & deeper meanings found in these Ages are almost metaphors for real life on a scale of civilizational proportions. Not only are the visuals incredible, but the night/day transitions & living ages are as well. Personal touches like being able to create a tiny effigy closely resembling the player and being able to write your own journal entries take on much more meaning when the game has an almost spiritual feeling. The creators of this game are in a class all their own due to the innovative concept of putting such a rich history behind the adventure, including the books of Atrus, Tiana & Dn'i. Altho some of the puzzles can be found most perplexing, fortunatley there are walkthroughs & adventure guides easily found online for uninterrupted gaming pleasure.
