Number of Reviews: I really did prefer simcity 3 to this version. The new one just is more complicated and the graphics are about the same as version 3. I would just stick to simcity 3 if i was you.

Money, Money, Money!!!! This game is fun, but I hate paying for stuff! I hate that the landmarks have to be paid for! I wish the rewards are free, and I wish everything is free!. I'm just 13, and I can't deal with all these taxes! I hope in Sim City 5, everything is free, but... more
kool!! First, some history:
I've been playing SimCity since the old DOS version. I loved it (all of Will Wright's sim games, like SimAnt and SimEarth), and loved the series even more when SimCity 2000 came out. I would spend sometimes all day playing... more
Great game. I've been a fan since the first sim city. This version gives you even more power and detail in the game. The Rush Hour package also helps to have more activities and fun. Warning, you could easily get adicted to it ;)

Disaster of a game. So many game-breaking flaws in just one game. One of many major errors in the design of the game is the so-called "region play". Because time stops in the parts of your region not played (you can only play one part at a time), major gameplay problems... more
Not my favorite This game is too challenging. I bought Sim City 2000 and enjoyed it fairly well, even though it too was too difficult. This game is worse than Sim City 2000 because the land is far too small. The night and day stuff isn't all that great. Also, though... more
Number of Reviews: This game is so addicting and fun, the best thing to do is naming streets and roads and naming neighborhoods and districts. You can make a poor and rich side of town, depending on what area you pay most attention to. The poor side has bad schools and... more
Good, but not to good if you dont like a challange or these kinds of game deal with it
ps:way better then 3000

BOO YOU STINK Maybe In over five years since SimCity 3000 ("Unlimited" included only add-ons), one would expect major advances in gameplay with this next in the series. Sadly, SimCity 4's creator Maxis failed horribly. The result was SO bad, that the original version... more
Terrific Game, Others are Wrong For anyone who gives this game below 4 stars, they obviously aren't seeing the true point to this game. Here are just a few responses to some of the bad ratings:
-CD's rarely explode in the drive. This happens once every few million or... more
Great game-but my disc shattered in the CD-rom! I had a lot of fun playing this game. It's different in many ways than Sim City 3000, but still challenging to me in a way that I like playing both games. I like how you can make regions and the adjacent cities in the region all co exist.

First person Point of view is needed This would be a great game if it were written with a first person point of view to drive around and fly in.

What a mess! I've been playing SimCity since the original was released on Windows systems. With every new release, Maxis (and now their partners EA) the crew packs more realism and fun than the previous version--Simcity 4 is no exception to this legacy. While the... more
