Not worth the money
First of all, this game has nothing to do with Star Wars really, and that's a shame. You don't even go into space.
Now if you're new to MMORPGs, you may be entertained with SWG since everything will be new to you. However, if you're a seasoned MMORPG player, you'll last about 2 months in this game. Once you've tried several professions and heard all the songs and seen the dances and costumes, you'll have done it all.
The system for fighting is kind of a rip off of the Anarchy Online mission system and it's just as repetitive. You go to a machine which tells you to kill some critters at some camp. At higher levels, you do the same thing with a party of friends and a combat medic.
I'm not sure why they were not able to bring more social interaction into this game.
If you're a crafter, you will spend lots of time alone doing your craft and leaving your items on vending machines for others to buy. You cannot set up shop in town, so your shop is out in some isolated area that people visit once in a blue moon. Not too fun owning a shop.
If you're a medic, you can sit around the hospitals waiting for someone to come in to get healed. Not too stimulating. If you're a combat medic, well you fight with others and you throw folks a heal once in a while. Nobody helps you pay for the stims you need to buy or make.
If you're a singer or dancer, you will quickly learn to macro your routines so as not to sit there pushing the F1-F10 keys over and over. Then you will realize that the patrons watching you are afk, and you too will go afk to eat a sandwich.
Overall I would not recommend this game.
