it won't even install :( After looking at the developer's web site, it seems this game is a POS that is more problems than its worth.

PC Gamer gave this 93%!?!?!!?!
Man, was I duoed into buying this. PC Gamer made it editor's choice, and gave it a rating that put in on par with Half Life and Doom. But it not ever close. The game looks good, but the gameplay is somewhat lame. and its very difficult to get through... more
Thoroughly nasty piece of work
I love adventure and shooter type games but the gratuitous realistic violence and language in this software was truly unpleasant. I regretted buying it from the first time I played it and soon threw it in the trash.

HYPE ALERT
This game seems to be getting the full treatment from the shadow marketing crew. Be careful about what reviews you put any trust in.

Good things come from Sweden
Butcher Bay is a first rate adventure/shooter. The game world's detail shows a fully realized world. The game play keeps itself pretty simple like the interface, but draws you into the excitement without interrupting the suspension of disbelief.

Wow!! This game is a gem!!
I just happened to be looking through Amazon.com, and I came across Escape From Butcher Bay. Thank God I did. This game is a real gem...one of the best action titles I've played all year. It holds its own with Far Cry, HL2 and Doom 3 or anything else... more
Great game but one problem
This game is amazing. Heres the score i give for this game.
Gameplay - 9/10: Realy fun and not boring.
Graphics - 10/10: Amazing graphics, even better then Doom 3.
Sound - 10/10: Great sound affects.
Value - 8/10: I think... more
This is what a video game should be
I always thought Vin Deisel was a cheesehead and that games made from movies were mostly crappy and thrown together in 10 days. But THIS GAME IS TOP NOTCH!
I'd say this hands down beats DOOM 3, which is too dark most of the time to enjoy... more
Very fun, but extremely violent
An extremely fun game, I played it through in one sitting. The system requirements are steep, but if your system can handle it the graphics are outstanding, as well as the art work. The story is also interesting (though a little frustrating at times).
