Number of Reviews:

This game is exceptional in many ways. For fans of the first Sims, you cannot miss this one. There are many new features in this one, such as...

-DNA (one's children come out looking like his/her parents)

-Wants and needs (your Sim, based on the personality you give it, will have certain desires in his/her life. If you fullfill them, you will have a very happy Sim and with the need fullfillment points you can get the Sim something nice. If you fail to fullfill the needs of your Sim, your Sim just might be kissing a broom if its romantic needs are neglected or having fun with a magical bunny if its social needs are)

-Aging (this one can be quite annoying if you want your Sim to live a very long life or you become attached to it. Take care of your Sim and they will live a long, healthful life)

-Sim selection (this feature is very much unlike the first. With the first Sims you picked generic Sims and chose their clothing. With Sims 2 YOU create your Sim the way you want, from their fine facial features, to their hairstyle, to their bodyshape, and what age they will start out as)

-Interaction with objects around your Sim (your Sim can juggle bottles from the fridge or your teen Sim can put acne cream on in front of the mirror, or gussy up before a date. The options are almost endless with this one)

-Different skill uses (in the Sims 1, pretty much all your Sim could do with its skill points is get a better job or ensure that the meals they made didn't burn. With Sims 2, your Sim's skill points have more influence over his/her life. For example, if your Sim has high cooking points, your Sim has more options of food to make [a Sim with low cooking points can make cereal or poptarts but a Sim with high cooking points can make turkey dinners, salmon, etc,.])

-Building options (now you have more building options to build anything from a shack to a castle. Very realistic.)

There are many more new features, but if I were to talk about all of them this review would take up pages!

The only gripe I have with this game is that it sucks up your computer's RAM, so make sure you have a top notch computer before installing this one.

Play around, create different Sims and have fun, and you will never get bored of this one.
