Worth the ante
I've had the game only about a week but I think I can give a pretty accurate opinion.
It's exactly what I wanted in a poker simulator with one caveat.
It's simple to learn. Basic but not bland graphics and fun to play. It's no frill approach is exactly what I was looking for. No entertaining elements - just poker. There are a lot of features that make this an excellent game for those of us who want to play a lot of hands and get better at all things associated with No Limit Hold'em.
There are a number of features I really liked. The best of all was "jump to end after fold" This feature allowed me to play a lot more hands. I'm not a big fan of the "cheat" features. But the object of the simulator is to get better so the more tools the better.
With all that being said the one area where the game suffers is the artificial intelligence (A.I.). It only took me two tries to win the WSOP tourney. Like an earlier reviewer, I know that I'm not that good. I got lucky a few times on 5th street but if you play "right" (playing only good hands, steal the blinds, play in position, slow play good hands, exploit the computer when you have "the nuts") you should be able to go pretty far. Also, you can easily push around the computer. Unless the computer has a monster, you can force it to fold if you play over the top.
There are better but more expensive simulators out there but for only 20 dollars I recommend this game.
